The Northampton Arts Council is a city board and a non-profit organization whose goal is to support and promote the arts in Northampton. Originally created as a Local Arts Lottery Council, it began its work by administering a grants program in which proceeds from a state lottery are distributed to local artists, arts groups, and public schools.

Transperformance 22: Food Groups Tickets On Sale Online

It’s time to celebrate our community and the arts with another Northampton Arts Council Transperformance featuring FOOD GROUPS at THE end-of-summer bash!

Cream, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Eyed Peas, Sam Cooke will be just a few of the many food related performers who will be covered by local musicians this summer in Northampton.

Each summer the Northampton Arts Council and the Parent Teacher Organizations of Northampton’s public schools join forces in August to raise funds for arts enrichment in the schools and the ArtsEZ spring grant program. Each elementary school, J.F.K. Middle School and Northampton High School will receive funds raised from Transperformance. Your support for this event will help keep art alive in the public schools and in the community.

Please support the Arts!

Last year’s benefit, Transperformance 21: Royalty provided $1,200 to each school due in part to the dollars raised by donors like you. The money goes towards great projects in our local schools. We also raised an additional $12,000 that was just recently distributed in our Spring Arts EZ round of grants to artists and small art organizations.
