In conjunction with Northampton's Arts Night Out, on Friday July 12th, UNITE will host a gallery reception for multi-media artist, Blair Smith from 6-9 pm. Refreshments will be served. Blair's work will be on display and for sale until August 6th.

Blair Smith, originally from New Jersey, received her BFA in illustration and photography from the New Hampshire Institute of Art. Her work often consists of mixed media, dealing with random and spontaneous layers and textures, symbolizing the chaotic surface that is our existence. She juxtaposes portraits and other photographs in the context of her work to deal with thoughts on humanity and the unknown. These selected works consist of mixed media with photographs and paint, along with traditional black and white silver gelatin prints.
