Arts Trust Opens House Inside and Out

Arts Night Out and the Northampton Community Arts Trust host a festive open house on Friday evening, June 13, 5-8 pm at 33 Hawley Street.

The public is invited to party inside and out. The Bistro Bus will be serving up street food in the parking lot, while the Salvation Alley String Band will be in the house, serving up its own special mix of honky-tonk, bluegrass and rock and roll.

Visitors will have the opportunity to tour and view plans for the building, currently in transition from fitness center to affordable creative space for the community. The informal evening promises “artsy surprises” including ticket giveaways to this summer’s Green River Festival.

Transperformance Announcement Party

TRANSPERFORMANCE ANNOUNCEMENT PARTY

The Northampton Arts Council is pleased to announce this year's Transperformance theme, "Off The Map.” As always the most anticipated end of Summer event in the Pioneer Valley will be on the last Tuesday of August (the 26th to be exact) at the mighty Pines Theater in Look Park. We look forward to your interpretations of this theme, as well as your suggestions. The obvious choices would be geographical locations, but we certainly are open to modes of transportation and directions.

Well we at The Collective truly believe Western MA is a breeding ground for amazing talent right now, and we want to get you heard. We're also huge proponents of fan sharing, co-writing, cross marketing, and overall artist collaboration. We believe the Valley Rising Compilation Album is a perfect platform for the best local musicians to come together and do all of these things.

Las Gravitas is a rare solo that feels personal to her body and aesthetic interest but also reaches beyond the soloist…a substantial achievement.
