·         Sessions held at Robert Floyd Photo Gallery and Learning Center, 2 East Street @ Route 10, Southampton

We know the basics of image capture yet are not comfortable with it all so far. Ready for a more in-depth review? Join us for an adventure to explore how to capture better images. Here’s our outline:
Shutter Speed Facts and Myths - We experience using different shutter speeds. Learn what works and why. Create moods for our images. Instructor will explain panning, ‘painting’ with shutter speed and more. Control image capture for stronger results by awareness of light.
Exposure Controls – We learn about Camera RAW, filters, in camera metering, and other matters of exposure. ISO is included in our discussions.

Composition – Simple yet very complex. Why do some nature images resonate so deeply with us? Learn to tell a better story with image capture. Why do we point our camera in one direction yet not another? Simplify. Distill. Connect. See.

Photoshop/Lightroom - Instructor will share its benefits and explain why it is the post-processing of choice among nature photographers now.

Please bring our camera and its owner’s manual to all our sessions.
Registration is required.
