The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

Valley Performance Lab's Summer Workshops for Kids


From June 27-July 8, the wonderful musician/performer, Felicia Sloin, and Sarah Marcus are offering:

VALLEY PERFORMANCE PLAYGROUND
-where campers will create and perform in their own original musical
-daily activities exploring acting, voice, movement, instruments, puppets, costume/set design and more...

ART AND THEATER INTERSECT
-where campers will create a new visual art piece daily, and use those pieces to inspire improvisation and theater games
