The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

New Round of Cultural Facilities Fund
Grants Now Available 

The Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund (CFF) seeks to support new capital projects in the arts, humanities, and sciences that expand access and education; create jobs in construction and cultural tourism; and improve the quality of life in cities and towns across the Commonwealth.

Administered jointly by the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) and MassDevelopment, the CFF is open to nonprofit cultural organizations and municipalities, and for projects at higher education institutions that serve the public. Key dates are below:

Intent-to-Apply Deadline: November 18, 2016
Final Application Deadline: January 13, 2017 5pm (ET)
Grant Decisions Announced: June, 2017
