The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

LCC Grant Award Winners


The Northampton Arts Council is pleased to announce the awarding of 27 grants totaling $11,650 in support of a variety of projects from funds allocated by the Massachusetts Cultural Council’s LCC program. The caliber of applications this round was outstanding, and we were unable to fund many worthy projects. The Arts Council received 55 requests for almost $58,828 of funding. Grants were awarded in the following categories: Dance, Film/Video, Literature, Mixed Media, Music, Theater and Visual Arts.

DANCE
