The Northampton Arts Council is an organization whose goal is to support and promote the arts in Northampton. Originally created as a Local Arts Lottery Council, it began its work by administering a grants program in which proceeds from a state lottery are distributed to local artists, arts groups, and public schools.

Spare the Rock with Dan Zanes FM Broadcast and Podcast

Audio from the Northampton Arts Council's live presentation of Spare the Rock, Spoil the Child with Dan Zanes, part of Four Sundays in February Winter Arts Festival Benefit, will be airing on FM stations across the nation over the next three weekends beginning March 18th.

The all-ages family event took place on stage at the Academy of Music in Northampton, MA on Sunday February 19th, 2017. The show celebrated LGBTQ youth and the legacy of David Bowie through story, songs and conversations.

Relive the fun or catch what you missed!
  • The first weekend (March 18/19) will feature Katie Ha-Ha, Lord Russ, Henning Ohlenbusch and the Stuntmen.
  • The following weekend (March 25/26) will feature Lloyd H. Miller of the Deedle Deedle Dees, Abbie Morin, and Kelsey Flynn.
  • The final weekend (April 1/2) will feature Dan Zanes & Claudia Eliaza and the show's grand finale including all the performers.
