Live 155 Front Facade Sculpture: Request for Proposals

Way Finders is seeking an artist or team to create an original, site-specific artwork to be installed on the East Facade of Live 155, over the entrance and above the sign. The building is located at 155 Pleasant Street in Northampton, MA, adjacent to the Manhan Rail Trail and across from the Amtrak platform. This opportunity is open to established professional artists. We welcome submissions from artists working in a broad range of media and encourage the inclusion of kinetic and/or lighted elements so long as they are durable and can be easily maintained.

Dimensions: approximately 30' high x 12' wide.
Please refer to the Full RFP for detailed plans and additional information.

We see this project as a first step in integrating public art into affordable housing development and as a testament to the significance of art in our community. Our hope is that the finished piece will create a signature presence for the building and welcome visitors to Northampton as it is the first thing many rail travelers will see when they first arrive.

The application deadline for short proposals is Midnight EST, January 12, 2018.

Please submit your proposal via google forms here: https://goo.gl/forms/UjB3labgQiqzsxCS2
