The Northampton Arts Council is a city board and a non-profit organization whose goal is to support and promote the arts in Northampton. Originally created as a Local Arts Lottery Council, it began its work by administering a grants program in which proceeds from a state lottery are distributed to local artists, arts groups, and public schools.

Rock River Artists' Open Studio Tour

What: Rock River Artists' 26th Annual Open Studio Tour
When: Saturday July 21, 10-6 and Sunday, July 22, 10-5
Where: South Newfane, Vermont

Rock River Artists' (RRA) 26th Annual Open Studio Tour is slated for Saturday, July 21, 10-6 and Sunday, July 22, 10-5. A tour that has earned its following well beyond Southern Vermont, the two-day offering features 12 accomplished artists in a range of media from functional ceramics to thread on fabric.

Visitors can start their RRA Open Studio Tour at the old Schoolhouse on Dover Road in South Newfane village where participating artists present a group show. Pick up a map of artists’ locations and begin a self-guided tour of the studios, all within short driving distance. Admission is free all weekend.
