The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

Brushworks Arts and Industry Open Studios

WHAT: Brushworks Arts and Industry Open Studios
WHEN: 10am-5pm Saturday and Sunday November 10th &11th
WHERE: Studio 434, 221 Pine Street, Florence, MA
Note: The studio is four flights up, so if you'd like a ride on funky old elevator, head toward the back of the building. Someone will be there to operate it. 

Stop by the Brushworks Arts and Industry Open Studios, 10am-5pm. There are lots of great creative people opening their doors. Because of the time of year, there is a lot geared toward holiday gift sales, which is great, but not wanting to spend money shouldn't stop you from coming! It's a great opportunity to get inspired, and explore an interesting building, and see art where it is made, and talk to folks who make it.

I will have art on view and for sale, including works on paper and other  things at the cheaper end of the spectrum, I will also have a few friends join me, just to make it more lively. Feel free just to come and hang out, make a drawing, have a cup of tea or something.

Also I am trying out an online store, please check it out. I'll be posting things that are simple to ship.
