The Northampton Arts Council is an organization whose goal is to support and promote the arts in Northampton. Originally created as a Local Arts Lottery Council, it began its work by administering a grants program in which proceeds from a state lottery are distributed to local artists, arts groups, and public schools.

Originally from St. Petersburg, Russia and now living between NYC and Paris, alto saxophonist Dmitry Baevsky once again brings his own unique style and original compositions to the Workshop. I think you will really enjoy his warm and dark alto sound. We always look forward to playing with Dmitry's and this will be his sixth appearance at the Workshop. http://www.dmitrybaevsky.com

Also, we are thrilled to have George Schuller, one of the most versatile drummers around today joining us this week while Jon Fisher is away. Hope to see you there and consider sticking around for the jam session which is always full of surprises and features many local musicians and vocalists.
