WHEN: Thursday, May 9 at 7:30 pm .

Sheron Rupp, a local photographer who has lived in the area for the past forty-five years, will be giving a short presentation and talk about her new book of early color photographs at A.P.E. Gallery on Thursday evening, May 9th, at 7:30 pm. Books will be available for purchase.

Taken from Memory covers twenty-five years of work and is a selection of people living in rural and underdeveloped areas of the U.S., as well as neighborhoods depicting Americana. Although her photographs are often described as documentary, Rupp considers Taken from Memory personal in nature, “as a poem wrought true.”
