The Northampton Arts Council is an organization whose goal is to support and promote the arts in Northampton. Originally created as a Local Arts Lottery Council, it began its work by administering a grants program in which proceeds from a state lottery are distributed to local artists, arts groups, and public schools.

WHEN: Tuesday, May 14th from 7:30 to 8:30 followed by the open jazz jam session
WHERE: City Sports Grille at Spare Time Northampton, 525 Pleasant St., Northampton, MA

Vibraphonist, drummer, composer, band leader and educator Rich Greenblatt returns to the Workshop with some new compositions and a new CD. Always fun working with Rich and listening to his beautiful 4 mallet work on the vibes. Besides leading his own groups Rich has played with a host of other great artists including Kurt Elling, Billy Mitchell, Kevin Hayes, Valery Ponamarev, Bill Charlap, Greg Hutchinson, Dennis Irwin, Winard Harper, Joe Hunt, Teddy Charles and Oscar Castro-Neves.   http://rich-greenblatt.squarespace.com
