Thank you for First Night Northampton!

The Northampton Arts Council would like to acknowledge the many people, businesses,  and organizations that made First Night Northampton 2020 a great success.
First Night Northampton is truly a team effort. The Arts Council was pleased to produce this signature celebration in our city for the third time; we are proud to continue this thirty-five year tradition into the future. We are thankful for our artists, performers, tech crew, sponsors, performance venues and their staffs, the restaurants who donate food, and the scores of volunteers who work enthusiastically for hours on New Year’s Eve.

We are deeply grateful to the City of Northampton, the Office of the Mayor, the City Council and to all of the municipal departments that cooperate with us to realize this signature event: the Northampton Police and Fire Departments, the Department of Public Works, the Licensing Department, and Central Services. We also acknowledge our friends at the Hotel Northampton who orchestrate the ball-raising.

Thanks as well to these individuals: Penny Burke, Chuck Schmidt, John LaPrade, Matt Bannister, Joan Holiday, Monte Belmonte, Jim Olsen, Steve Campbell, Jody Doele, Peter Hamelin, Michael Abbiatello, Hugh Hall, IATSE Local 232, Aimee and Jesse at Belly of the Beast, Jennifer Peterson, Melinda Shaw, Heather Dandy, Amy Joseph, Alexis Neubert, Bill Newman, Dan Richardson, The Crew at Paradise Copies, Rich Cooper, Roger Aucoin, Amy Johnquest, Alan Schneider, Kathy Service, Kathy Murri, and Freeman Stein.

Your generosity of time, energy, and capital enables us to continue this special New Year’s Eve tradition and furthers our mission of providing direct financial assistance for arts enrichment activities in the public schools and the community at large. The continued success of the Northampton Arts Council and the vibrancy of the greater Northampton arts community would not be possible without your support! Thanks again—we  appreciate your investment.
