The Northampton Arts Council is an organization whose goal is to support and promote the arts in Northampton. Originally created as a Local Arts Lottery Council, it began its work by administering a grants program in which proceeds from a state lottery are distributed to local artists, arts groups, and public schools.

Northampton Youth Performance Festival

WHAT: Northampton Youth Performance Festival
WHEN: February 8 at 7pm, February 9 at 3pm, 2020
WHERE: Northampton Center for the Arts at 33 Hawley St Northampton, MA.

The Inaugural Youth Performance Festival (YPF) showcases the work of young artists (8-18 years old) in the disciplines of theater, dance, music, poetry, and video. Young artists have been paired with mentor artists in their field, and over the course of 6 weekends, the mentor artists helped guide the young artists in the creation of original work to be shared with the greater community. Co-sponsored by the Center for the Arts and Valley Performance Playground, the Festival will be held February 8th at 7pm and February 9th at 3pm at the Northampton Center for the Arts at 33 Hawley.
