| Transperformance:
The last Tuesday in august, The Northampton Arts Council and the Parent Teacher Organizations of Northampton Public Schools co-host an annual music festival. Transperformance takes place at Look Park's Pines Theater. The proceeds from Transperformance go to community arts enrichment, both grants for local artists and Arts Enrichment Programs for Northampton Public Schools. |

| Transperformance creates the opportunity for local performers to assume the personas of well-known and well-loved musicians. Transperformance is a humorous musical celebration of the diversity of our population and an acknowledgement of the profound influences various artists have had on each other and on the rest of our society, while as well as just being a darn good time for all. | |||||||||||||||
| Summer of 2004, Transperformance 14 had the theme of "Animals and Insects," in which local musicians such as the Nields, US, Summit House perfomed as bands with Animal names such as, The Roaches, The Beatles and Phish. Last August,although it rained and we had to move indoors to the Northamtpon High School, Transperformance 15: New York was a huge success!
