Joshua Dietz is a sixteen year old artist who lives in Northampton. He currently studies painting under the illustrious Vitek Kruta and also apprentices for him at the new Gateway City Arts in Holyoke. Joshua uses his immense amount of childhood wonder to create these surrealistic animals and scenes. He draws inspiration from great surrealist artists such as Dali and Magritte, along with modern surrealism. Joshua works in acrylic paints on wood, often using shellac to seal his works.
