LCC Fall 2009 Grant Guidelines Now Available

Northampton, MA--Applications and newly revised guidelines are now available from the Northampton Arts Council for grants under the Massachusetts Cultural Council's Arts Lottery and PASS (Performing Arts Student Series) program. The Northampton Arts Council will be distributing up to $9,380 of this state allocated grant money during this funding cycle in the following categories: dance, film/video, literature, mixed media, music, PASS, schools, theater, and visual arts. Projects may start no earlier than January 1, 2010, and must be completed by December 30, 2010.

Applications and guidelines may be obtained via the Northampton Arts Council’s website at www.northamptonartscouncil.org. You can download guidelines and fill out the application as a PDF on a computer, or pick up a hardcopy at these Northampton locations: Northampton Arts Council,  2nd  floor, Memorial Hall, 240 Main Street; Center for the Arts Northampton, 17 New South Street, 3rd Floor; Forbes Library, 20 West Street; A.P.E. at Window, 126 Main Street.

Completed applications with supporting materials must be received no later than 4:30 p.m., Thursday, October 15, 2009, at the Arts Council Office.  No late applications will be accepted and incomplete applications will not be considered.

Grant recipients are chosen on the basis of the quality of proposals and work presented; potential benefit to the community of funded work; and creative accomplishment and dedication. Funds are available on a reimbursement basis only.
