Florence Night Out - A Celebration of Community Through Creativity

We hope you can join us for Florence Night Out - a celebration of art and music in our community.


Thursday September 26th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

We are celebrating the completion of our wall mural and, in our front gallery at Pivot Media, a new show featuring some of my recent work.  There will be live music by  guitarist Mark Nomad (his Delta blues sets are outrageous) at 5:00 and 6:00 and African dance by the PVPA dance team WOFA at 5:30 and 6:30.  The weather is going to be beautiful and there will be art and music happenings all over Florence.  In short, an event not to be missed.

FLORENCE, MA — On Thursday, September 26 from 5-8 pm, Florence-based artists, musicians, restaurateurs and businesses celebrate community through creativity in their vibrant downtown village.

• @ 30 North Maple Street: artist open studios with Phoebe Berkel, Donnabelle Casis, Sean Greene, Heather Kasunick, Lisa Lindgren, and Donna Estabrooks
• @ 30 North Maple Street: video/sound art with Bell & Howl (Andrew Greto & Dana Gentes)
• @ Artifacts 20th Century: film projections by award-winning young filmmaker Tom Greto
• @ Maple and Main Realty: art by Katy Schneider, Dave Gloman, Tom Martin, Anne Lewis and Barbara Neulinger and an open house
• @ 34 North Maple Street: Writers' Mill open house
• @ Cup & Top Café: Roseann Caputo art opening, special menu featuring local produce, NHS Improv group performs 5-6pm, Caroline and Matt O'Leary, violin & classical guitar from 6-8pm
• @ Pivot Media: WOFA - PVPA West African dance and drum performance 5:30pm and 6:30pm, new wall mural unveiling, Jim Gipe photography exhibit and Mark Nomad blues guitar
• @ Café Evolution: Star Drooker art opening with live music and a DJ
• @ Florence Civic Center: free swing dance lessons with Sharon Alworth 5:00 - 5:30pm
• @ Florence Civic Center 6-8pm: live music by the O-Tones
• @ 30 North Maple Street: starting at 5:30pm - live music by Beach Honey, Shangri-Lips and Original Cowards
• @ JJ’s Tavern: fall beer sampling and music
• @ Cooper's Corner: wine tasting
