Music in Motion is an inspired multimedia presentation: Local music sensations Terry Adams from NRBQ, Mark Mulcahy, Erin McKeown, Deja Rene Carr, and Henning Ohlenbusch will compose and perform brand new scores to well-known silent films from the 20th century as well as more contemporary locally-made films including “The Dentist” (2005) by Signe Baumane whose latest animated film is on Varieties’ short list for an Oscar nomination, and “An Engaging Narration of the Show” (2014) by open-source 3D CGI innovator Bassam Kurdali of the Blender Project. The finale includes local legendary music sensation Terry Adams from NRBQ creating live improv music in-sync with filmmaker Bassam Kurdali who will be creating live CGI video projection. Improv film paired with improv music, one inspiring the other to create brand new never before seen art.
