The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

Screening includes:

Baba Hillman is a Five College Associate Professor of Film and Video. Hillman’s films explore transience, language, memory and the politics of landscape and the body.
Salt Spell (2014)

Sam Hadge is a Belchertown based musician and videographer who is known for his extensive video documentation of live underground music in Western MA.
Four Person Haircut (2016)

Linda Fenstermaker is an experimental filmmaker currently living in Seattle, who works with 16mm film as an avenue for feminist expression.
Abandoned Generations (2015)
Malik Ford is an experimental filmmaker from Fort Wayne, Indiana now based in Western Massachusetts, utilizing surveillance footage to convey the criminalization of blackness

Mirrors (2016)
Emily Drummer is a filmmaker interested in the intersections of history, technology, and the senses. She is currently an MFA candidate in the Department of Cinematic Arts at the University of Iowa.
Histories of a Simulated Intimacy no.1 (2016)
Zach Hart's 16mm work focuses on structural in-camera animation techniques, post production optical effects, literature and filmic map making. He currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
A Walk Through Alphabet City (2016)
Carla Costa is a fiction writer and filmmaker working with a community of storytellers and scientists in Northampton, MA. Carla serves as the Director of the Creativity Center at Hampshire College.
MADG (2014)
Liz Walber is a Northampton-based feminist, experimental filmmaker interested in porn studies, and internet subcultures.
