The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

Now Hiring: Quilting Instructor(s)

The Holyoke Creative Arts Center seeks one or more qualified Quilting Substitutes to cover already scheduled Spring classes while our regular Quilting Instructor is on long-term leave. Classes are run in an open studio format, the instructor works one-on-one with students of all levels. Subject to candidates’ availability and proficiency, there is also the possibility of offering additional classes, as well as bilingual and/or Spanish classes. See current class schedule below. An expertise in quilting is required, and some teaching experience is preferred. Pay: $20-25/hr. Please send resumes and inquires to jeff@holyokecac.org
