Call for Collider

Collider is a STUDIO4 series juxtaposing two acts from discrete traditions, each performing a 30- to 45-minute set and separated by intermission. The series emphasizes expertise and virtuosity above composition. The event features one performer from each of two categories, broadly speaking: 1) strange or marginal folk traditions including regional music and outsider art; and 2) crafts which though not ordinarily considered performative can be fascinating to witness. This second category could include everything from bricklaying to Double-Dutch.

The April 29 Collider will feature Tenores de AterĂșe. An act from the second category is TBD.
