The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

NCTV Launches 5th Year of Grants for Short Films, Classes, Community Art, and Virtual Reality

Northampton Community Television Launches 5th Year of Grants for Short Films, Classes, Community Art, and Virtual Reality.

As an extension of its mission to support and resource expression of all kinds across media in the greater Northampton community NCTV is again giving out money to support the time and effort for creators to craft content. This represents the 5th year of such grants, which have empowered projects throughout the community.

Grants are open to the public at northamptontv.org/grants and applications are due on February 16, 2018. The grants cover a broad range of multimedia related projects, including short films, classes, community art projects, and virtual reality and are available for up to $2000. The grants recognize that among the resources people need in order to be empowered to create are included time and security.
