The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

Crowdsourced Cinema Sign-Ups Now Open

Yesterday, June 6th starting at 7pm, NCTV opened sign-ups for Crowdsourced Cinema: Ferris Bueller's Day Off. This year they are trying something new and allowing teams to pick their own scenes.Sign-ups are on CrowdsourcedCinema.com. There will be a quick form to fill out.

Scenes are first-come, first-served, and sign-ups are open until every scene is taken. Take a look at the scenes ahead of time and have a few alternates in mind in case the one you want is taken.

Completed scenes will be due end of summer, and there will be a screening party in the fall. More info at crowdsourcedcinema.com
