WMASS 2018 Performance Project Outreach

Dear Community,

We are very excited to announce that applications are now open for Survivor Theatre Project’s Fall 2018 Western Mass Performance Project in partnership with Womanshelter/CompaƱeras!

The Performance Project is an 8 week collaborative and transformative theatre experience about sexual violence and social change. Through body, mind, centering practices, as well as writing, movement, storytelling, and theatre techniques, a group will craft an original performance. The project will end with a sharing for a small invited audience. Collaborative in its nature, the interests of the group will guide the process and will create a piece that is unique to their own experiences of survival. Survivor Theatre Project currently serves woman, trans women, genderqueer, gender non-conforming & gender non-binary folks. No previous experience with theatre or the arts necessary!

This year, the Performance Project will be held in Holyoke, MA on Mondays and Fridays from 6:30-8:30pm starting Friday, September 7th through early November.  If someone is interested in applying, please have them email programs@survivortheatreproject.com to request an application. The application deadline is August 24th.

In Solidarity,
Survivor Theatre Project & Womanshelter/CompaƱeras
