The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

WHAT: Northampton Jazz Workshop features NYC based trumpeter Josh Bruneau
WHEN: Tuesday, August 21st, 7:30 to 8:30PM followed by an open jazz jam session until 10:30PM
WHERE: The City Sports Grille at Spare Time Northampton, 525 Pleasant St., Northampton, MA

The young Hartford trumpeter Josh Bruneau, now residing mostly in NYC is one of the more in demand players on the scene these days. He was scheduled to play with us last January but a snow storm got in the way so, very happy to finally get a chance to play again. I hope you can join us for what will be a an action packed adventure into some straight-ahead bop and standards, steeped in the tradition of the masters.
