The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

The Wilbraham Friends of the Library Present their Annual Art Exhibit

Wilbraham, MA – The Wilbraham Friends of the Library (WFL) will present their Annual Art Exhibit, taking place at the Brooks Room of the Wilbraham Public Library from September 4 to September 28 with a reception for artists,  Friends and the public Saturday, September 15 from 11:00 – 1:00. Refreshments will be served. The library is located at 25 Crane Park Drive, Wilbraham.

The show this year features the work of 29 artists and several mediums including oil, pastel, pen and ink, basketry, watercolor, photography and combinations thereof.  This show is always popular and many of the artists will have pieces for sale at the reception.

The show is sponsored by the Wilbraham Friends of the Library which was established in 1973. The Friends of the Library fund programs for children, teens, and adults, as well as the library's popular Museum Pass program, furnishings, and other library equipment.
