As has been our mission, we like to present new voices to our audience so we are pleased to present for the first time NYC trombonist and arranger Sara Jacovino.  After leaving the University of North Texas and her time with their renowned One O'Clock Lab Band, Sara moved to NYCi 2008 to continue her career. Throughout her time in NYC, besides being a studio arranger and prolific and ward winning composer, Sara has performed along side many jazz and pop greats such as: Adele, Aretha Franklin, Frank Ocean, Johnny Mandel, Michael Feinstein, Claudio Roditi, Steve Davis, Rufus Reid, Wayne Bergeron, Rich Perry, Lou Marini, Slide Hampton, Phil Woods, Carmen Bradford, Diane Schuur, Marlena Shaw, Snarky Puppy, Lee Konitz, and Robin Eubanks among others. Sara has also established herself as an active sub in the Broadway scene and performed the jazz trombone chair in the 2016 Maurice Hines musical Tappin’ Thru Life.

We are really looking forward to playing with Sara and hope you can join us to welcome her to Northampton. I know she will love it here since we have the best jazz audience in the world (at least that's what the guest artists always say and I have to agree).

12/4 - Rob Scheps on saxes with Bill Goodwin on drums
