The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

SPRINGFIELD GARDEN CLUB TO HOST DAN ZIOMEK


WHAT: Luncheon with Dan Ziomek
WHEN: Friday,  February 15, 11:30am
WHERE: Wilbraham United Church, 500 Main Street, Wilbraham, MA 01095

“Birds in the Garden” will be presented by Dan Ziomek of Hadley Garden Center. He will speak about how to make our gardens welcoming and safe for birds.

 Ziomek is the host of the long-running show "Bird Songs" on 93.9 The River.  He joined the Hadley Garden Center family in 1988 and is the store's resident bird expert. He earned his bachelor's degree in plant and soil science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

The meeting will be held Friday,  February 15 at the Wilbraham United Church, 500 Main Street, Wilbraham, MA 01095. A light luncheon and beverages will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m. Guest fee is $5.00.
