The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

WHAT: Northampton Jazz Workshop Featuring tenor saxophonist Bennie Wallace and drummer Bill Goodwin
WHEN: Tuesday, April 9th from 7:30 to 8:30 followed by the open jazz jam session
WHERE: City Sports Grille at Spare Time Northampton, 525 Pleasant St., Northampton, MA

This week will be a special treat for all of us. Veteran tenor saxophonist Bennie Wallace along with master veteran drummer Bill Goodwin will be our very special guests for the concert set. Google both of these gentlemen and you'll discover the huge depth of experience these two artists will be sharing with us at the Workshop.
