The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

Barbershop Quartet concert at Forbes Library


WHAT: Shave & a Haircut Barbershop Quartet
WHEN: Monday, June 10th at 6:30 p.m.
WHERE: Coolidge Museum at Forbes Library 20 West Street, Northampton, MA

Shave & a Haircut returns to the Forbes Library happily singing old favorite songs, doo-wop, jazz, and Barbershop Classics for you in 4-part harmony. As usual, a fun little sing-a-long will be included.

This quartet has been performing for over 10 years. For the Northampton performance, Karl Knapp, original founder of Shave & a Haircut, will join in a couple of songs.
