The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

Northampton DNA Downtown Clean Up

WHAT: Northampton DNA Downtown Clean Up
WHEN: Sunday September 8 from 8:30-11am.
WHERE: Meet in Pulaski Park, Cleaning all over downtown

We are gathering a team of volunteers – community members and groups eager to roll up their sleeves and spend the morning pitching in - for a Downtown Clean Up, Sunday September 8 from 8:30-11am. We would love your help!

How?
Let us know what you would like to see cleaned up. Even if it seems obvious to you, please share with us.
Are there items that you would like to see the City repair? Let us know that as well – we’ll be taking photos and making a list to share with the City, and we would love your eyes (and photos) to help make sure the list is all-encompassing.
If you can add volunteers to our team, we’d be thrilled!
If you would like to partner with us on this effort in a more significant way - by providing a large team of volunteers, or cleaning supplies (trash bags, gloves, etc.), or in some other capacity - please let me know.

A sign-up form is available HERE; you can also simply reply to this email.

Where?
We’ll meet in Pulaski Park; we hope to cover more than just Main Street. How much we cover will depend on how many hands on deck we have to help. (If you are part of a local service organization or non-profit who might want to send in a team of volunteers, please let me know!)
