The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

Pop Up Florence!

WHAT: Pop Up Florence

Pop in for a one-day demonstration of art and streetscape interventions to foster a walkable and safe community for all.

Snacks/drinks provided.

Work coordinated by Smith College Landscape Studies and UMASS Amherst Sustainable Community Development students.

Artwork and design interventions implemented by Smith College "Landscape Studies" students and UMass Amherst "Sustainable Community Development" students, in collaboration with the City of Northampton, Pasqualina Azzarello Reid Bertone-Johnson Michael DiPasquale and Leslie Saree, and the Northampton Senior Services.
