Northampton Jazz Workshop Featuring saxophonist Michael Zsoldos

WHAT: Northampton Jazz Workshop Featuring saxophonist Michael Zsoldos
WHERE: City Sports Grille at Spare Time Northampton, 525 Pleasant St., Northampton, MA.
WHEN: February 4th from 7:30 to 8:30 followed by the open jazz jam session.

This week are pleased to welcome back saxophonist, educator and composer Michael Zsoldos from Woodstock, VT. I recently heard a concert by Michael and his quartet at the Vermont Jazz Center and was truly knocked out by his feel and tone. The theme was a tribute to the great Ben Webster and Michael nailed Ben's sound and then some. He of course has his own sound and style but his playing does reflect a deep love for the tenor masters of the past. This will be Michaels third appearance with us as a guest artist.

The concert set starts at 7:30, followed immediately by the jam session until 10:30. $5 per person room charge for the concert set and donations to the band gratefully accepted. City Sports Grille at Spare Time Northampton, 525 Pleasant St., Northampton, MA. 413-584-4830
