Opportunity for choreographers and dance-makers: Curriculum in Motion Institute

Announcing the Curriculum in Motion® Institute for Choreographers and Dance-Makers

Join us to build a THINK/ACT/DO network with a cohort of fellow dance-makers, facilitated by award-winning core faculty members Celeste Miller (Institute Director), Kimberli Boyd, and Michael Richter.

Institute participants gain:

Interactive online training, with individualized faculty support and feedback
One-on-one mentoring, peer-to-peer co-mentoring, and group learning
A certificate of completion
A meaningful and active network of peers
A chance to join the roster of esteemed Curriculum in Motion® Artists

One-Year Intensive Program (2020-2021):
Developed over the course of two years, the Institute is an intimately curated professional development experience in how to be of co-creative service in the communities we engage with, while examining how dance-makers are essential artistic, civic, and community partners in a COVID-19 world and beyond. We use body-based practices to work with the pedagogy, philosophy, and methodology of Curriculum in Motion® core principles.

In recognition of this urgent time, the application deadline is extended to June 15.

MEET THE FACULTY

"The Institute is a curated training site to root ourselves in our choreographic practices as a system not only of embodied creativity but also a system of values and ideas."

"As we embrace a shift from a time of crisis to a time of flux, how do we develop as essential leaders who expand on, and generously share, our expertise in creating dance-based experiences as opportunities to think, reflect, express and act...”

—Celeste Miller | Institute Director,
Co-Founder of Curriculum in Motion®
