The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

Evolving in Chaos at The Oxbow Gallery




WHAT: Evolving in Chaos. a group show
WHEN: October 2 - November 1, Gallery Hours: Friday (4-7p), Saturday (3-6p), and Sunday (2-5p) 
WHERE:  Oxbow Gallery, 273 Pleasant Street, Northampton MA 01060

The Oxbow Gallery continues with the exhibition, Evolving in Chaos, a group show comprised of rotating members and their work.

Every month different members will exhibit and during their time they may choose to swap out pieces. A visit at one time during the month may look very different at a later point. 

The individual front window shows will continue through late November. Currently, Fran Kidder is sharing her paintings of Pacifique

The Oxbow Gallery opened in 2004 and is a collective with over 40 members who work in a wide range of styles and media. Their work shares a drive towards clarity of purpose, exploration of color and light, and a desire for experimentation.
