Engage and learn from LA-based Literary Agent, Manager, Producer &
Co-Author of Dating Your Character
Marilyn R. Atlas

How do you bring memorable, three-dimensional characters to life enough to make a connection with your audience? In this class, Marilyn will view and analyze various movie and TV scenes and dissect them to see what makes the characters memorable. You will learn the power of subtext: how to embed details of motivation—thoughts, wants, goals, secrets, flaws, and delusions—into physical behavior, speech patterns, and specific habits that echo throughout your story. Come to class with your most important characters in mind, and leave with a better understanding about how to bring them to life.
"Marilyn's workshop was a game changer - she has incredible energy, and guides writers to build authentic characters with depth. She made my book better. You'll love her! - Barbara Newman, Producer/Director, & Author of the upcoming book, The Dreamcatcher Codes
