The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

Art in the Orchard - Call for Entries


WHAT: Art In the Orchard: Call for Outdoor Sculpture and Installations

Outdoor Sculpture and Installations:  Art In the Orchard (AIO) is seeking sculptures and installations for its Sixth Biennial outdoor exhibit in Easthampton, Massachusetts. This biennial is expected to draw more than 20,000 visitors from August 10th to November 28th and feature 30 works. Selected artists will receive a $500 honorarium (totaling $15,000). Work containing elements of the whimsical, absurd, or surreal and those that elicit emotional responses are encouraged, as well as kinetic and site-specific work. AIO was awarded the prestigious Gold Star Award for exemplary community arts project. Apply at: - Apply by April 1st, 2021.
