The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

Flywheel Inside Out series Music on the Forbes Library Lawn




WHAT: The Flywheel Inside Out series featuring DIANA DAVIES and PERENNIAL

The Flywheel Inside Out series launches August 11 with a show on the lawn of the Forbes Library. The show will start at 6 pm with a set of fierce folk music by local legend Diana Davies https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diana_Davies_(photographer) and will continue with a 7 pm performance by Connecticut mod punks Perennial (https://www.facebook.com/perennialCT/). Come at 5:30 to stake your place on the lawn and catch up with the Flywheel community.

Rain date is August 18th, and any postponement will be announced on the Forbes Library Calendar and the Facebook event page by 2 PM August 11.

A second Flywheel / Forbes show will be held August 25 with performances by Bunnies, Strawberry Runners and Joey La Neve.
