The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

A successful journalist gets to cover a story of a lifetime but her ambition is tested when that very assignment puts her face to face with her past.

Lenore Thomas Douglas a Boston University Alum makes her directorial film debut with the short film ‘Weep not’ loosely based on the 2018 Two Time NAACP theater nominated solo play, ‘Journey This’ which she also directed. She started her career in the NBC Page program, and then with Matt Lauer and Al Roker at the Today show.

An award-winning writer, actor, and proud member of the LAByrinth Theater Company of NYC. Two Time NAACP theater nominee for acting and writing of her solo play ‘Journey This’. The film ‘Weep Not’ marks her screenwriting debut. Actress credits; The Fixer Upper directed by Oscar nominee Kathleen Quinlan, The Harry Lennix’s (Blacklist) produced film H4, and Blindspot’s producer Mark Pellington in his film Honesty.
