The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

KidsBestFest, a movie festival for kids and adults




KidsBestFest is a movie festival for kids and adults with free admission held during the spring school break at the Academy of Music Theatre. KidsBestFest is a part of the Four Sundays series. We kick off the free movie festival on Monday, April 18, at 11:00 AM.


When: Monday, April 18–Thursday, April 21 at 11:00 AM Showtime every day, Doors Open 10:30 AM every day

What: Monday, April 18 at 11:00AM - Disneynature Penguins (2019)

Tuesday, April 19 at 11:00 AM - Marona's Fantastic Tale with two local animated shorts before the feature film; Tavi's Song and The Grumpytime Club - Songs by Carrie Ferguson, films by Wishbone Zoe.

Wednesday, April 20 at 11:00 AM - The Karate Kid (1984)

Thursday, April 21 at 11:00 AM - Northampton Youth Film Fest
