Performance 32 Live Tribute Music Fundraiser Theme Announced
The Northampton Arts Council staff has deliberated with local musicians, past hosts and other creatives to determine this year’s theme.
On Tuesday, August 23rd, 2022 Performance 32: Nevermind “the 90s” will be live at Pines Theater of Look Park. We will celebrate this iconic decade of sound which brought us both the explosion of grunge and the golden era of hip hop. From Nirvana to Nas, Snoop Dogg to Sonic Youth, Pavement to Public Enemy…. the list goes on!
Please email us your ideas about what artist or band you would like to perform as. Sending us multiple choices is always helpful. The lineup will be announced Wednesday July 6th.

In 2020 we were not able to present our show live at the Pines Theater of Look Park. Instead, the event was live-streamed to social media and broadcast on public access television with the help of Northampton Open Media and all our dedicated performers and staff. We were still able to raise over $15,000 for arts enrichment activities in our community and the public schools specifically. What is Performance Live Tribute Music Fundraiser?
Each year in August the Northampton Arts Council and the Parent Teacher Organizations of Northampton’s public school system join forces to raise funds for arts enrichment in the schools and our community. THE end-of-the-summer live tribute music fundraiser is held at Pines Theater in Look Park. Local musicians are asked to play cover songs from specific bands that fall under an annual theme determined by the Northampton Arts Council. This is our 32nd year; The first ever iteration was Woodstock: The Performance Peace, where local musicians covered bands and songs that were performed at Woodstock in 1969.
