The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

Call to Artists: Iris Residency presented by The Studios at MASS MoCA in collaboration with the Berkshire Immigrant Center



The Studios at MASS MoCA in collaboration with the Berkshire Immigrant Center started a new program called Iris Residency for artists (18+) from all disciplines living in Western Massachusetts who are foreign-born or identify as first or second generation Americans. Two artists will be selected for a four-week residency in February 2023 at MASS MoCA Studios. The program is completely free of charge and artists will have access 24/7 to studio space, private room in a shared apartment, and financial support for transportation costs, materials, and food, among other benefits.
