The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Its' goals include maintaining and preserving the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Northampton, programming such annual events of interest to the community as First Night Northampton and Transperformance.

Final Salsa in the Park event of the summer this Saturday with DJ Bongohead of Peace & Rhythm

WHEN: Saturday September 3rd. 6:00-8:00pm
WHERE: Pulaski Park. Main Street Northampton, MA. 

Enjoy Salsa music in Pulaski Park this Saturday! The Northampton Arts Council presents its seventh year of music in the park. After four amazing Salsa events on lovely evenings in July and August, we are returning for a rescheduled fifth and final Salsa in the Park event with DJ Bongohead of Peace & Rhythm!

"Bongohead will be playing salsa dura (and some merengue, bachata, cumbia and boogaloo) on vinyl. He’ll be bringing some of his latest musical projects on wax as well as classics and rarities. Tell your friends who want to dance, this will be all killer, no filler! Come by and help Bongohead celebrate his cumpleaƱos, too!"

Some important information: Please bring sunblock, drinking water, and a blanket to sit on. No pop-up tents or metal-legged chairs on the grass turf at Pulaski Park. For questions, please contact
