The Northampton Arts Council works to support and nurture the arts in the city of Northampton. The Council awards grants twice each year to artists and arts groups from both state and locally-raised funds, and seeks to improve public awareness of the arts. Northampton Arts Council COVID-19 Artist Relief Grant
All artists and cultural producers who have been financially impacted by COVID-19 and contribute to the cultural vibrancy of Northampton, Florence, and Leeds are eligible to apply here. The application is due May 15, 2020. The Northampton Arts Council usually administers the ArtsEZ grant round in the spring to support local arts and cultural projects that take place in Northampton, Florence, and Leeds. Since all public gatherings are on hold, and in light of the severe economic impact of COVID-19, the Board has voted to allocate $10,000 to fund artist relief.

Paycheck Protection Program
An SBA loan to help businesses keep their workforce employed during the COVID-19 crisis. Individuals who are self-employed or are independent contractors are also eligible if they meet program size standards. Loan forgiveness benefits are based on the employer maintaining or quickly rehiring employees and maintaining salary levels.
