**NEW THIS YEAR**
About Direct Grant Funding
Northampton Arts Council has initiated a Direct Grant Program for our ArtsEZ grant round. Approved grantees will receive their award funding upfront.
In order to receive grant funds, the recipient must submit a completed Grant Agreement and W-9, both of which will be sent to you shortly after receiving the award announcement.
All successful applicants must credit the Northampton Arts Council for providing funds to the project in all press materials, posters, programs, announcements, and paid advertising by putting the Northampton Arts Council logo on the press materials. Failure to do so will result in loss of funding. An example of proper credit would be: "This program is supported in part by a grant from the Northampton Arts Council." Please add the Northampton Arts Council logo to press materials as well. We strongly encourage sending a press release and a jpeg image of your poster to NorthamptonArtsGrants@gmail.com two weeks prior to the project taking place so we can advertise the public component of your funded project.
Grant recipients have one year from the date on their award notification to complete their program and submit their final report. The final report includes a brief form and evidence that the event took place and was credited as promised (ex: programs, news clippings, press releases, photos, testimonies, videos, etc.) The final report should be sent to the Arts Council within two weeks of completing the funded program, but no later than one year from the date of the award notification. The second half of the recipients award will be sent once we receive the final report.
If the funded program or project is not completed, the grantee is responsible for returning the grant funds, in full, to the Northampton Arts Council. Grantees that do not repay the grant funds risk jeopardizing future funding.
