The Northampton Arts Council proudly presents the 36th annual summer celebration of music, culture, and community—Transformance 36: Moonage Daydream - A Look to Space—returning to the iconic Pines Theater at Look Park on Tuesday, August 18th.

Formerly known as Transperformance, this beloved event invites local musicians to transform into legendary artists from around the world in a dynamic tribute to musical icons who transcend borders. This year’s theme, Moonage Daydream - A Look to Space, honors our home in the cosmos with performances inspired by intergalactic superstars and astral travelers such as Bruno Mars, David Bowie, Mazzy Star, Sun Ra, Pink Floyd, Erykah Badu, Freddie Mercury and many more! 

Transformance is more than a concert—it’s a fundraiser that supports arts enrichment in Northampton Public Schools and local Parent Teacher Organizations (P.T.O.s). Join us for an unforgettable night of music and meaning, and support the future of the arts in our community.

CALLING ALL LOCAL MUSICIANS!
We want YOU to be part of this celebration. Tell us a space-themed artist or band you'd love to channel, and send your performance ideas to arts@northamptonma.gov. Multiple submissions are encouraged and appreciated. The official lineup will be announced in July, so get your ideas in early and help us spread the word across the local music scene.
