Global Game Jam at Hampshire College

Come make a game with us!

Global Game Jam is happening at Hampshire College, Jan 30 (Fri) – Feb 1 (Sun). GGJ is an international event where creatives get together and design a game over a weekend. A couple board/card games usually happen, but most are video games—built by teams of artists, programmers, sound designers, and game designers and/or writers. All skill levels welcome. Most attendees are 18–50. Younger teens are welcome, but this isn’t a drop-off event—parents/guardians must stay and participate with them.

HOW IT WORKS: Show up Friday night. We’ll watch the theme video to learn this year’s theme (don’t peek!), spitball game ideas, form teams, and build through the weekend. On Sunday afternoon everyone shows what they made / how far they got. It’s a great way to meet fun people while making something cool.
